Our Vision

We envision a world where every person is treated with respect, dignity and equality. By advocating for gender equality, we strive to eliminate gender-based violence, poverty and discrimination, working collaboratively to achieve a just, equitable and inclusive society.

ABOUT US

At the Pictou County Women's Resource & Sexual Assault Centre, we work towards a society that offers women a sense of empowerment, choice, and greater control over their lives. We have a long history of community development, working alongside many community and government partners to initiate necessary services and programs.

We offer support and advocacy for individual women, and are a member of the Pictou County Sexual Assault Response Team.

Our centre has two mandates: direct service and social change. We perform direct service by working one-on-one with women and providing the resources they need on a wide range of issues.

We work towards social change by increasing awareness and uniting women, communities, and government to create public policy that benefits women.
